Portable Hole Punch

The need to make thousands of drain holes in the running rails already in service at several horse racing tracks was the impetus to develop this specific tool. Added to the speed, accuracy and convenience advantages of hole punching over drilling, the out door environment and fact that every hole had to be done upwards made the choice of process obvious.

The machine was designed to fit the shape of the rail and the hole is punched so that the flaring affect aids the outward flow of the water.

An ENERPAC RC53 provides the necessary force and is powered by a servo controlled air/hydraulic pump. The operator starts and stops the cycle with a push button remote pendant.
