100 Tonne Plug Type Crimping Press

This 100 tonne (887 kn.) Plug type press is used to join high-tension power transmission cables in the field or underground.

The ENERPAC RCS1002 low height cylinder supplies the force. Hand, air, electric or petrol driven pumps may be used as a power source.

The plug is fitted with a breach-buttress thread. This speeds up the operation because only a half turn is required for the fitting or removal of the plug and the crimping tooling.
